We are seeking an accomplished investment professional for the role of Assistant Vice President – Private Equity. The individual will be expected to support the full investment lifecycle, including portfolio monitoring, value creation support, opportunity evaluation, due diligence, investment committee preparation, transaction execution, investor reporting, and exit-related analysis.
The role requires a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially minded professional who can independently lead critical workstreams, synthesize complex information into decision-ready insights, and collaborate effectively with senior investment professionals, operating partners, portfolio company management teams, and external advisors.
Responsibilities
· Monitor portfolio company performance through financial, operational, commercial, and working capital KPIs, with clear identification of key performance drivers, emerging risks, and recommended corrective actions.
· Support portfolio company value creation initiatives, including process improvement, board reporting enhancement, operational KPI development, add-on acquisition analysis, refinancing support, and exit readiness.
· Lead and support investment diligence workstreams for prospective platform investments and add-on acquisitions, including data room review, financial analysis, commercial assessment, operational review, risk identification, and issue tracking.
· Develop high-quality investment analysis covering market attractiveness, competitive positioning, customer dynamics, revenue growth opportunities, margin expansion potential, operating risks, and value creation levers.
· Prepare and support investor reporting materials, including quarterly investor letters, portfolio valuation reports, performance summaries, and other LP-facing communications.
· Prepare investment committee materials, transaction updates, valuation analyses, financing support materials, exit preparation documents, and other senior management presentations.
· Conduct detailed financial statement analysis, comparable company and precedent transaction analysis, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and other investment underwriting work.
· Contribute to deal origination and sourcing efforts through market mapping, industry research, relationship development, and identification of potential investment opportunities.
Mentor and manage junior team members by reviewing analytical output, guiding workstream execution, setting quality expectations, and ensuring timely delivery under demanding timelines.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Business Administration from a leading institution; a finance specialization is preferred. 10+ years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate development, institutional investing, leveraged finance, or related roles. Experience working with industrial, business-to-business services, manufacturing, distribution, healthcare services, or other middle-market businesses is preferred.
