The University invites applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Assistant Registrar – Legal Affairs, who will play a crucial role in strengthening the University's legal framework, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing statutory matters, and providing strategic support in legal and administrative functions. The position offers an opportunity to work closely with academic and administrative leadership in contributing to the University's continued growth and governance excellence.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:-
- Manage legal affairs, statutory compliance, and regulatory matters of the University.
- Handle legal documentation, agreements, MoUs, contracts, notices, and related matters.
- Coordinate with legal counsel and stakeholders for court cases, litigation management, and legal proceedings.
- Ensure compliance with regulations issued by UGC, AICTE, PCI, BCI, NCTE, State Government authorities, and other statutory bodies.
- Provide support in institutional policies, labour law compliance, and governance-related legal matters.
🎓 Essential Qualification (As per UGC Norms):-
- Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
- Degree in Law (LL.B./LL.M.) will be preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in university administration, legal affairs, regulatory compliance, or litigation management in a Higher Educational Institution/Government/Statutory Body.
- Must have knowledge of UGC Regulations, AICTE, PCI, BCI, NCTE, State Government regulations, labour laws, contracts, and legal documentation.
- Experience in handling court cases, legal notices, agreements, MoUs, and statutory matters.
