Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Professor position located at Shri Khushal Das University in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, with openings across disciplines including Chemistry, Mathematics, Commerce, English, Pharmacy, and Agriculture (Soil Science). The role involves delivering engaging lectures, leading tutorials and practical sessions, and supervising student projects and assessments in the relevant subject area. The Assistant Professor will design and update course content and teaching materials in alignment with university standards and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include mentoring students, providing academic guidance, maintaining accurate records of student performance, and participating in departmental meetings and committees. The role also includes conducting and publishing research, contributing to curriculum development, supporting co-curricular activities, and actively engaging in the academic and community life of the university.
Qualifications
- Strong subject-matter expertise in the appointed discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Mathematics, Commerce, English, Pharmacy, Agriculture/Soil Science) and a solid foundation in related areas such as Physics and Physical Chemistry where relevant.
- Demonstrated skills in Curriculum Development and academic planning, including the ability to design, review, and update courses and instructional resources.
- Proven Research capabilities, including conducting scholarly work, publishing in academic journals, and guiding student research projects.
- Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., Master’s or Ph.D.) in the respective discipline from a recognized institution; eligibility as per applicable regulatory bodies (e.g., UGC, PCI, ICAR) is desirable.
- Effective classroom management and student mentoring skills, with a learner-centered teaching approach and commitment to inclusive, equitable educational practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to use educational technologies, learning management systems, and digital tools for teaching and assessment.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, contribute to departmental initiatives, and participate in academic events, outreach programs, and institutional development activities.
