Role Description The Assistant Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dadra & Nagar Haveli. This role supports daily production operations, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring manufacturing activities to meet quality and output targets. The Assistant Production Manager coordinates with production staff, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow, timely order fulfillment, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities include tracking material usage, supervising shop-floor processes, resolving operational issues, and implementing process improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency. The role also involves maintaining production records, reporting performance metrics to senior management, and supporting compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in production planning, scheduling, and line supervision within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of quality control practices, basic root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods.
- Ability to manage shop-floor teams, coordinate cross-functional activities, and maintain clear communication.
- Familiarity with safety standards, workplace hygiene, and basic maintenance coordination.
- Proficiency in using MS Office or similar tools for reporting, data tracking, and documentation.
- Relevant diploma or degree in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial management is preferred.
- Prior experience in consumer goods or cookware manufacturing is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and readiness to work in an on-site, factory setting.
