About Us: Empower Foundation, the not-for-profit arm of Empower Pragati, was established in 2013 in Delhi NCR. Registered under Section 25 of Indian Companies Act, 1956, and certified by 12A, 80G, and FCRA, Empower Foundation focuses on impactful interventions in education, livelihood generation, public information dissemination, and advocacy. The foundation works with vulnerable communities to build their capacity for self-dependence and combat exploitation through knowledge and awareness.
Role Overview
The Assistant Manager – Fundraising will support Empower Foundation’s resource mobilisation efforts by contributing to fundraising strategy, identifying funding opportunities, developing proposals, and managing fundraising pipeline. The role will report to the Fundraising and Communications Lead and work closely with programme and finance teams to align funding opportunities with organisational priorities and project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy & Opportunity Identification
Research on the CSR and philanthropy landscape, including funding trends, emerging sectors, and thematic focus areas on an ongoing basis.
Support development and implementation of the Foundation’s fundraising strategy across CSR, foundation, and other philanthropic funding sources.
Identify and assess relevant fundraising opportunities aligned with the Foundation’s programmes and strategic priorities.
Monitor and track relevant funding opportunities through CSR platforms, foundation websites, tender portals, and sector networks
Proposal Development & Fundraising Materials
Develop concept notes, proposals, pitch decks, and fundraising presentations in line with funder guidelines and internal standards.
Coordinate with programme teams to collate narrative inputs, indicators, and implementation details.
Prepare proposal budgets and related financial documents
Prepare communication materials such as one-pagers, case studies, impact briefs, and project updates.
Compile project progress information and visuals for use in fundraising and engagement materials.
Pipeline Tracking & Internal Systems
Develop and manage fundraising templates, trackers, and documentation to ensure consistency and coordination.
Track timelines, submission deadlines, internal responsibilities, and next steps for all active opportunities.
Support internal reviews of pipeline progress and reporting.
Skills & Experience:
4–5 years of relevant experience in fundraising, partnerships, or resource mobilisation, preferably in the nonprofit, CSR, or social impact sector.
Strong research and analytical skills for sector analysis and opportunity identification.
Demonstrated experience in proposal writing, including developing concept notes, full proposals, and budget documents
Clear and structured writing skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
Working understanding of India’s CSR and philanthropy ecosystem.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment.
Proficiency with standard productivity tools (e.g., MS Office and shared tracking systems).
