Role Description The Assistant Manager will support day-to-day operations at the Narela production facility in a full-time, on-site capacity. Responsibilities include overseeing workflow on the shop floor, coordinating with production staff, and monitoring adherence to quality, safety, and hygiene standards. The role involves tracking inventory levels, supporting procurement, and ensuring timely dispatch of finished goods. The Assistant Manager will assist in scheduling shifts, resolving operational issues, and preparing basic reports on production performance and compliance. This position also requires collaboration with senior management to implement process improvements and support organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and operational management abilities, including experience coordinating teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of basic production processes, quality control practices, and food safety or hygiene standards (experience in food industry preferred).
- Proficiency in using office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, email) and basic data reporting skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to guide staff, resolve issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Narela full time, demonstrating reliability, attention to detail, and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, operations, food technology, or a related field is beneficial.
- Prior experience in an assistant manager or supervisory role in production, operations, or logistics will be an advantage.
