Position description: Join Jindal Stainless Limited's Lime Plant Mechanical Department as a key technical professional responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical systems within the lime production process. This role demands a proactive approach to ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and process efficiency in a dynamic mining and metals environment. The position offers an opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to implement engineering solutions that enhance plant performance and contribute to sustainable production goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems specific to lime plant operations.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of mechanical assets to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Monitor equipment performance data and prepare detailed reports to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations during all mechanical operations and maintenance activities.
- Support procurement activities by specifying technical requirements for mechanical components and liaising with vendors.
- Participate in root cause analysis of mechanical issues and contribute to the development of long-term reliability strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment manuals, and engineering drawings.
- Coordinate with operations and quality teams to align mechanical maintenance schedules with production targets.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians and operators on mechanical best practices and safety protocols.
