Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for an ASR and AI Transcription Specialist (English Language | 65 wpm). The specialist will work with automated speech recognition (ASR) and AI transcription tools to convert audio content into accurate written English transcripts. Daily tasks include reviewing machine-generated transcripts, correcting errors, formatting text according to guidelines, and ensuring consistency with style and quality standards. The role involves handling a variety of audio sources, such as meetings, interviews, and recorded calls, while maintaining confidentiality and data security. The specialist will collaborate with team members, follow established workflows, meet turnaround times, and provide feedback to improve transcription processes and AI models.
Qualifications
- Strong English language proficiency, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and comprehension.
- Typing speed of at least 65 words per minute with high accuracy.
- Experience working with ASR and AI transcription tools, or similar speech-to-text technologies.
- Ability to review, edit, and format transcripts to meet specified style and quality standards.
- Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including word processing, collaboration, and file management software.
- High attention to detail, strong concentration, and the ability to work with lengthy or complex audio content.
- Reliable internet connection and suitable remote work setup to handle audio files and online systems.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of data privacy, confidentiality requirements, and secure handling of sensitive information.
- Previous experience in transcription, captioning, or related language services is preferred.
- Relevant education or training in linguistics, communications, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
