You'll work directly with the directors and A&R team, supporting how independent artists are developed, positioned, and taken to market across the full artist journey - from early catalog and release planning through to fan growth and long-term career building. This role focuses on understanding the artist development lifecycle: how an artist's music, story, and audience are built together, and how content, release strategy, and fan engagement all tie back to sustainable career growth. It's ideal for someone who wants to understand independent music not just as content, but as a business - how catalog, releases, and fanbases are built to last.
Responsibilities- Support artist development planning team across the full lifecycle - from onboarding and artist positioning through release cycles and ongoing career growth.

- Build & help artists by monthly content calendars tailored to each artist's genre, personality, target audience, and release schedule.
- Map and build out fan funnels for artists- from cold discovery through casual listener, engaged fan, and superfan/community member- and suggest content and touchpoints for each stage.
- Research music trends, viral content formats, and cultural shifts across hip hop, indie, regional music, and emerging genres.
- Create content pillars and artist brand positioning strategies grounded in the independent music ecosystem.
- Scout and analyse how independent artists build and convert audiences across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.

- Monitor competitor and industry strategies within the independent artist development space.
- Suggest innovative content and fan-engagement formats to move listeners down the funnel and build community.
- Maintain artist development documentation- planning sheets, funnel maps, strategy reports, and positioning decks.
- Support the team in connecting content and fan-funnel work to long-term artist brand value and catalog development.
Requirements- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Music Business, or a related field.
- Genuine interest in how artists are developed- not just how content performs, but how careers are built.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging creator platforms.
- Great research, writing, and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of content marketing, personal branding, and artist positioning.
- Familiarity with Canva, Google Workspace, Notion, or similar tools.

- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills- Basic understanding of the music production lifecycle (recording, mastering, distribution, release).
- Understanding of fan funnels, audience segmentation, and conversion/growth metrics.
- Experience in content creation, social media management, or artist promotion.
- Interest in music publishing, artist rights, and how artists monetise their work.
- Knowledge of AI tools for content research, ideation, and trend analysis.
- Background in or deep interest in hip hop, indie, regional music, or niche music communities.
You Will Gain- Practical exposure to artist development and brand building in the independent music space.

- Real-world exposure to release campaigns, promotional strategies, and artist-community dynamics.
