Role Description The Area Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Panaji, responsible for developing and managing sales within an assigned territory for specialized safety gloves and PPE solutions. The role includes identifying and nurturing new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and regularly visiting industrial customers to understand their safety needs. The Area Sales Manager will oversee distributor and channel partner activities, execute sales plans, prepare proposals and quotations, and ensure timely order follow-up and collections. The position also involves monitoring market trends and competitor activity, coordinating closely with internal teams for product availability and customer support, and providing regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in B2B sales or industrial sales, ideally in PPE, safety products, or related manufacturing sectors.
- Strong skills in territory management, customer relationship development, and distributor/channel partner management.
- Ability to identify customer needs, present product solutions effectively, and negotiate contracts and pricing.
- Solid communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in preparing sales reports, forecasts, and documentation.
- Comfort with on-site client visits, fieldwork, and regular travel within the assigned region.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and PPE products is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
