Role Description The Area Manager role at Svatantra Microfin Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Allahabad. The Area Manager oversees branch operations across the assigned area, ensuring achievement of business targets while maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising field and branch teams, monitoring portfolio quality, and supporting client acquisition, retention, and service delivery. The role involves regular visits to branches and client locations, reviewing performance metrics, conducting trainings, and implementing process improvements for operational efficiency. The Area Manager also collaborates with senior management to execute strategic initiatives, manages risk, and promotes a culture of ethical, client-centric practices.

- Candidates should possess strong team leadership and people management skills, including mentoring, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution.
- Candidates should possess operational and process management skills, such as branch oversight, portfolio monitoring, and adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements.

- Relevant experience in microfinance, banking, rural development, or financial services, preferably in a supervisory or area-level role, would be beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, social work, or a related field is preferred; local language proficiency and willingness to travel within the area are important.
