Role Description The Area Coach role is a full-time, on-site position based in Madurai, responsible for overseeing and guiding the performance of multiple retail or distribution outlets within a designated area. The Area Coach monitors daily operations, ensures adherence to company standards, and supports teams in delivering excellent customer service and product quality. This role involves regularly visiting locations, reviewing sales performance, coaching managers and frontline team members, and implementing operational improvements to meet business targets. The Area Coach coordinates with cross-functional teams for supply, merchandising, and promotional activities, while ensuring compliance with safety, hygiene, and regulatory requirements. The position also includes preparing performance reports, identifying training needs, and fostering a positive, high-performance work culture.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, team coaching, and people management skills to guide and develop multiple store or unit teams.
- Proficiency in operations management, including inventory control, scheduling, and process improvement in a retail or FMCG environment.
- Solid business acumen with experience in sales monitoring, target achievement, and basic financial analysis.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to plan routes, manage time efficiently, and work on-site across multiple locations within the Madurai area.
- Comfort with basic digital tools and reporting systems used for performance tracking and operational documentation.
- Relevant experience in dairy, FMCG, retail operations, or field-based supervisory roles is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
