Job Title: Application Controls / Engineering Controls Lead
Job Location: Chennai & Hyderabad
Primary purpose: Address controls embedded within client's custom-developed applications and engineering processes.
Responsibilities
- Review custom applications including the client Platform, BSC, internal GL and other in-house systems.
- Identify application-level financial controls.
- Evaluate automated calculations, validations, approvals, and data integrity controls.
- Assess SDLC and deployment controls.
- Review code/configuration-related evidence.
- Identify control design gaps.
- Work with product and engineering teams on remediation.
- Support automated key-report controls.
- Document control logic and evidence requirements.
- Support TOD and TOE.
Ideal profile
- 6–10 years application controls/software engineering/technology risk.
- Strong understanding of software development practices.
- Experience with automated controls.
- SOX/IT audit experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read architecture, application logic, data models, and technical documentation.
