About the role
experts by shift is a data annotation platform where contributors annotate video data to create high-quality training datasets for advanced AI systems. The work involves applying expert judgment, following detailed guidelines, and maintaining a high standard of accuracy and consistency.
What you'll do
Review first-person video recordings of people performing everyday physical tasks:
- Quality Control: Review recordings against written standards and determine whether they meet high-quality requirements.
- Action Labelling: Label (write) key actions seen in the video in English and capture the start/end points of each action with 99% accuracy.
- Apply Guidelines: Consistently follow written instructions and flag unclear or ambiguous footage.
Who we're looking for
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured guidelines.
- Comfortable having work reviewed and scored against defined quality standards.
- No prior AI or annotation experience required. Training is provided.
Engagement & compensation
- Hours: 20-40 hours/week
- Location: Remote (India only)
- Duration: 1-3 months initially, with extension opportunities for strong performers and opportunity to level up to become Video labeling Reviewers.
- Pay: Approximately ~₹30,000 to 40,000 per month for the initial project upon meeting performance requirements.
- Payment: Bi-weekly via bank transfer against logged hours and accepted work.
- Requirements: Personal laptop and stable internet connection. Software and tool access are provided.
Selection process

- Annotation Trial: Label a short sample video using the provided guidelines.
