We are looking for an experienced AI Data Engineer with strong expertise in Agentic AI to join the Data Team. The role will focus on designing and developing intelligent, autonomous AI agents that can support complex data engineering activities, including data ingestion, transformation, validation, pipeline monitoring, remediation and data governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy AI agents that can independently perform multi-step data engineering tasks.
- Build multi-agent solutions where specialized agents collaborate on data quality, schema management, pipeline monitoring and optimization.
- Develop RAG-based AI solutions for enterprise data retrieval, analysis and reporting.
- Build AI agents that interact with AWS services such as Glue, Redshift, Athena, S3 and Lambda.
- Develop intelligent and self-healing data pipelines that can identify failures, determine root causes and recommend or execute remediation.
- Implement agent orchestration using LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen or AWS Bedrock Agents.
- Develop AI-powered data governance capabilities, including metadata management, data classification and policy enforcement.
- Build conversational data agents that enable business users to query and explore enterprise data using natural language.
- Implement agent memory and knowledge management using vector databases, knowledge graphs and long-term context stores.
- Implement human-in-the-loop mechanisms for high-risk or sensitive decisions.
- Develop frameworks to evaluate and monitor agent performance, accuracy, cost, task completion and hallucinations.
- Design appropriate AI guardrails and controls to ensure safe and reliable agent execution.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using AWS data engineering technologies.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, business stakeholders and other technology teams to deliver scalable AI-enabled data solutions.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, including ETL, data modelling and data architecture.
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience, particularly with:
AWS Glue / PySpark, S3, RDS PostgreSQL, Redshift, Athena, Airflow
- 2+ years of hands-on experience developing LLM-powered applications or AI agents.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Hands-on experience with one or more Agentic AI frameworks, such as:
LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen
- AWS Bedrock Agents
- Experience designing multi-agent architectures with tool use, planning, memory and task orchestration.
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering, function calling and structured LLM outputs.
- Experience with LLMs such as Claude, GPT, Llama or Amazon Titan.
- Strong hands-on experience with RAG, including embeddings, chunking, retrieval optimization and vector databases.
- Experience with OpenSearch, Pinecone or pgvector.
- Understanding of agent design patterns such as ReAct, Plan-and-Execute, Reflection, Tool Use and Multi-Agent Collaboration.
- Experience with AWS AI services including Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda and Step Functions.
- Experience using KIRO to build data pipelines.
- Hands-on knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) for connecting AI agents with enterprise tools and data sources.
- Strong SQL skills with experience developing complex queries.
Good to Have
- Experience in the Insurance domain.
- Experience with AI/agent evaluation and observability tools such as LangSmith, Weights & Biases or custom tracing frameworks.
- Experience implementing AI governance, security and responsible AI practices.
