Role: Aerospace Geek
Location: Bangalore
We’re looking for the person who cannot look at an aircraft, propulsion system, satellite, or flight path, wondering how to make it better, or what others might have overlooked.
This is not a conventional 9-to-5 role built around assigned tasks, rigid hours, and waiting for approval. We want someone who thinks in first principles, takes ownership of difficult problems, and has the curiosity and conviction to pursue ideas that may initially sound impossible.
You might be an engineer, researcher, experimentalist, designer, pilot, self-taught builder, or some unusual combination of these. Your title matters far less than the evidence that aerospace is more than a profession to you.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Explore ambitious aerospace concepts and turn the strongest ones into real projects.
2. Design, model, simulate, prototype, test, fail intelligently, and iterate.
3. Challenge conventional assumptions while respecting physics, safety, and evidence.
4. Work across disciplines, including aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, avionics, controls, materials, manufacturing, or mission design.
5. Take ideas from a blank page to something that can fly, function, or be validated.
6. Help shape not only what we build, but why and how we build it.
Who We’re Looking For:
You probably
1. Think about aerospace even when nobody is paying you to.
2. Have built, designed, researched, repaired, flown, simulated, or experimented with something simply because you needed to understand it.
3. Can move comfortably between the big picture and the smallest technical detail.
4. Are energized by uncertainty and open-ended problems.
5. Question accepted wisdom without ignoring hard-earned engineering principles.
6. Prefer ownership over instructions and progress over office theatre.
7. Can explain complex ideas clearly, defend them with evidence, and change your mind when the evidence changes.
8. Care deeply about craftsmanship, reliability, and safety.
A formal aerospace degree is welcome, but it is not the only path in. Proof of curiosity, technical depth, and things you have actually attempted will matter more than polished credentials.
This Role Is Not For You If:
1. You need every task and next step defined for you.
2. You are primarily motivated by titles, hierarchy, or appearing busy.
3. You enjoy discussing ambitious ideas but rarely build or test anything.
4. You interpret “visionary” as permission to ignore engineering discipline.
5. You want a predictable role with a permanently fixed boundary around your contribution.

This is an outcome-driven environment with substantial responsibility. We do not measure commitment by time spent at a desk. We care about intellectual honesty, meaningful progress, dependable execution, and the willingness to step forward when the mission demands it.
