Role Description The Admissions Counselor is a full-time, on-campus role based in Thane. This role involves guiding prospective students and their families through the admissions process, including responding to inquiries, conducting campus visits, and explaining program offerings and admission criteria. The counselor will engage in outreach activities such as information sessions, school or college visits, and education fairs to promote the institute’s programs. Daily responsibilities include following up with leads, maintaining accurate records of interactions, supporting application and documentation processes, and collaborating with academic and administrative teams to ensure a smooth applicant experience. The role also involves contributing to enrollment strategies, providing data and feedback on admissions trends, and upholding the institute’s standards of professionalism and student-centric service.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Communication and general Communication skills to interact effectively with prospective students, families, and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to provide courteous, timely, and accurate support throughout the admissions process.
- Candidates should possess Sales-related skills to convert inquiries into enrollments ethically, including lead follow-up and relationship-building.
- Candidates should possess Education-related knowledge or experience, preferably in management or higher education environments.
- Relevant qualifications include a master's or bachelor’s degree in any discipline (education, management, psychology, or communications preferred) and prior experience in admissions, counseling, or student-facing roles.
- Additional beneficial skills include proficiency with basic office software and CRM tools, strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced academic setting.
