About the Role
Lean Hippo Marketers is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant Consultant to manage day-to-day accounting activities and ensure compliance with financial and statutory requirements. The ideal candidate should have 1–2 years of hands-on accounting experience and be capable of working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records and book entries.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements, invoices, and ledgers.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist in preparing GST, TDS, and other statutory filings.
- Process employee reimbursements and support payroll-related activities.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and MIS.
- Maintain proper financial documentation and records.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders as required.
- Ensure timely compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, bookkeeping, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, or similar accounting software.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with SMEs, or service-based companies.
- Good working knowledge of payroll processing and statutory compliance.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
