Role Description The Accountant at Tresrock Property is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Kolkata Area. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including maintaining general ledgers, preparing journal entries, and reconciling bank and vendor accounts. The role includes processing invoices and payments, tracking receivables and payables, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. The Accountant will prepare financial reports, assist with budgeting and cash flow tracking, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls. The role also involves collaborating with sales, operations, and management teams to provide accurate financial data and support informed decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in financial accounting and reporting, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, basic data analysis) and comfort working with digital documentation and spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of relevant tax laws, compliance requirements, and basic audit principles applicable to real estate or service-based businesses.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and explain financial information clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in real estate, property management, or financial services is beneficial, along with familiarity with local market practices.
