Accounts & Tax Professional
Location: South Kolkata, West Bengal
Experience: 2–3 years
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Working Hours: 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM
Salary: 2.4 LPA - 4 LPA
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and competent Accounts & Tax Professional to join our growing practice in South Kolkata. The candidate will work closely with the partners and team on taxation, GST, accounting, audit and compliance assignments for a diverse portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling Income Tax Return (ITR) preparation and filing
- GST return preparation and filing, including routine GST compliances
- TDS return preparation, filing and related compliance
- Assisting in Statutory Audits and Tax Audits
- Preparation and finalisation of books of accounts
- Preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
- Handling day-to-day accounting and reconciliation work
- Assisting in client communication and compliance-related matters
- Supporting partners and seniors in assignments and tax/audit engagements
Desired Skills
- Functional and practical knowledge of Income Tax, GST and TDS
- Exposure to Statutory Audit and Tax Audit
- Good understanding of accounting and finalisation of books
- Working knowledge of Tally
- Knowledge of Zoho Books will be an added advantage
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently as well as as part of a team
- Good communication and documentation skills
Qualification
Preferably: CA Intermediate - CMA Intermediate
Graduates/postgraduates with relevant practical experience may also be considered.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should have 2–3 years of relevant experience in a CA firm or professional services environment, with hands-on exposure to accounting, taxation, GST, TDS and audit assignments.
We are looking for someone who is technically sound, willing to learn, responsible with deadlines and comfortable handling multiple client assignments.
