Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Retail Accountant with 1 to 5 years of experience to manage our daily financial operations. In this role, you will bridge the gap between store operations and financial accounting, ensuring accurate tracking of inventory, sales, and tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities
· Inventory Control: Monitor Goods Received Notes (GRN), track stock levels, and audit inward/outward inventory movements.
· Daily Ledger Management: Record daily financial transactions and manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
· Sales Reconciliation: Match daily Point-of-Sale (POS) data against cash, UPI, card, and digital wallet settlements.
· Statutory Compliance: Prepare and file local tax documents, ensuring strict adherence to GST and TDS regulations.
· Reporting: Assist in monthly financial closing and generate store-wise profitability and variance reports.
Skills & Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com).
· Experience: 1–5 years of accounting experience specifically within the retail, FMCG, or e-commerce sector.
· Software: High proficiency in TallyPrime, advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and standard retail ERP systems.
- · Competencies: Strong analytical skills, a sharp eye for numerical discrepancies, and the ability to collaborate with store managers.
