Role Description The Junior Accountant role at Frikly is a full-time, on-site position based in Nagpur. In this role, the individual will assist with daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. The Junior Accountant will support accounts payable and receivable processes, prepare basic financial reports, and help ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. The role also involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, assisting in month-end closing activities, and responding to routine financial and audit-related queries. This position offers exposure to a fast-growing D2C environment and the opportunity to learn from experienced finance professionals.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including basic journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliation processes.
- Practical skills in accounts payable and accounts receivable management, invoice processing, and expense tracking.
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets), including use of formulas, data validation, and basic reporting.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities, with attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to identify discrepancies.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with finance and non-finance teams.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting reporting deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications in progress (e.g., CA/CPA/CMA) are an advantage.
- Previous internship or 0–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or D2C environments.
- Comfort working with digital tools and online systems, with a willingness to learn new platforms and improve processes.
- Ethical mindset and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
