Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing vouchers and invoices. Responsibilities include handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, assisting with monthly and annual closing, and supporting the preparation of financial reports and management summaries. The role involves ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, as well as coordinating with auditors and other stakeholders for timely submissions and clarifications. The Accountant will also help monitor project-wise costs and revenues, support budgeting exercises, and maintain accurate documentation for valuations and consultancy assignments. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess core accounting skills, including bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and preparation of financial statements.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounts payable and receivable management, bank reconciliations, and cash flow tracking.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with taxation, GST, TDS, and compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess the ability to use accounting software and MS Office tools (especially Excel) for financial analysis and reporting.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills for handling multiple assignments.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project teams, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- A bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA Inter) will be an advantage.
- Relevant experience in project-based or consultancy environments, and familiarity with engineering or infrastructure sectors, will be beneficial.
