Your Role in a Nutshell
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing full-cycle accounting activities, supporting the month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing financial reporting and reconciliations.
This role is ideal for an accounting professional who can work independently, solve problems, and take ownership of their responsibilities.
What You Will Do
- Own full-cycle accounting activities from transaction recording through month-end close.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
- Perform bank, credit card, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial statements, schedules, and management reports.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
- Support audit, tax, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor accounting controls and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Work with internal stakeholders to resolve billing and accounting issues.
- Assist with financial reporting and management analysis.
- Ensure accounting activities are completed accurately and within established timelines.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting.
- Strong experience with reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close.
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset.
CA/CPA/ACCA/CMA qualification or progress toward a professional designation is an asset.
