ABOUT ARTITUDE HOME
Artitude Home is an international luxury home fragrance and lifestyle brand with operations across multiple markets. As the business continues to expand internationally, we are looking for a hands-on Accountant based in Delhi to manage the day-to-day accounting and financial administration of our group entities.
The role will cover multiple international entities, including our Singapore and UAE companies, as well as other group companies and operations as the business expands.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date books of accounts across Artitude Home's entities, managing day-to-day accounting activities, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, tax documentation and supporting statutory and regulatory filings.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing accounting across multiple companies, currencies and countries.
The Accountant will work closely with management, operations teams, external accountants, auditors and tax advisers in the respective countries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Day-to-Day Accounting
- Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts for Artitude Home's group entities.
- Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, payments, receipts and journal entries.
- Maintain general ledgers in QuickBooks.
- Ensure transactions are correctly allocated to the appropriate company, account and cost centre.
- Maintain supporting documentation for all accounting entries.
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Maintain accounting records across multiple currencies including SGD, AED, EUR, USD and other currencies as required.
2. Accounts Payable
- Record and verify supplier invoices.
- Maintain supplier ledgers and outstanding payment schedules.
- Prepare payments for management approval.
- Reconcile supplier statements.
- Track payment due dates and ensure timely processing.
- Maintain proper documentation for international supplier payments.
3. Accounts Receivable
- Raise and record customer invoices where required.
- Maintain customer ledgers.
- Track outstanding receivables and payment due dates.
- Follow up internally on overdue customer accounts.
- Reconcile customer receipts against invoices.
- Prepare regular accounts receivable ageing reports.
4. Bank & Payment Reconciliation
- Perform regular reconciliation of all company bank accounts.
- Reconcile credit cards, payment gateways and other payment platforms.
- Track international transfers and foreign currency transactions.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain visibility of cash balances across group entities.
5. Singapore Company Accounting & GST
- Maintain complete accounting records for the Singapore company.
- Prepare GST workings and supporting schedules.
- Ensure transactions are correctly classified for Singapore GST purposes.
- Coordinate timely GST filings with the company's Singapore tax/accounting advisers where required.
- Maintain documentation required for annual accounts, tax filings and audits.
- Support preparation of information required for corporate income tax and statutory filings.
6. UAE Company Accounting
- Maintain complete accounting records for the UAE entity.
- Maintain VAT-related transaction records and supporting documentation.
- Prepare VAT workings and schedules for filing.
- Coordinate with UAE accountants/tax advisers for VAT, Corporate Tax and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain records required for UAE Corporate Tax compliance.
- Ensure books and supporting documentation are maintained in accordance with local requirements.
7. Other Group Companies
- Maintain accounting records for additional Artitude Home companies and entities as required.
- Coordinate with local accountants, auditors and tax advisers in the respective jurisdictions.
- Maintain a central calendar of filing deadlines, tax deadlines and statutory requirements.
- Ensure required financial information is provided to external advisers on time.
8. Inventory & Cost Accounting
As Artitude Home is a product-based international business, the Accountant will also support:
- Reconciliation of inventory records with accounting records.
- Recording purchases, freight, duties and other landed costs.
- Tracking stock movements between warehouses and entities.
- Supporting reconciliation of warehouse inventory.
- Monitoring inventory valuation and cost of goods sold.
- Assisting with intercompany stock transfers and related accounting.
- Investigating inventory discrepancies with the operations team.
9. Monthly Closing & Management Reporting
Complete monthly accounting close for each entity and prepare:
- Profit & Loss Statement
- Balance Sheet
- Cash position
- Accounts Receivable ageing
- Accounts Payable ageing
- Bank reconciliations
- Inventory reconciliation
- Intercompany reconciliation
- Key expense analysis
- Supporting schedules as required by management
Ensure books are closed accurately and on time each month.
10. Tax, Audit & Statutory Support
- Maintain organised records for GST, VAT, Corporate Tax and other applicable taxes.
- Prepare supporting schedules for external accountants and tax advisers.
- Coordinate documentation required for annual audits and financial statements.
- Respond to information requests from auditors/accountants.
- Maintain a compliance calendar covering all entities.
- Ensure filing deadlines are tracked and escalated well in advance.
The Accountant is expected to manage and coordinate the filing process, while jurisdiction-specific statutory submissions may be completed together with the company's appointed local accountants, auditors or tax advisers.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience managing full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, bank reconciliation and general ledger.
- Good understanding of financial statements and month-end closing.
- Experience with GST/VAT accounting preferred.
- Experience working with international or multi-entity companies would be a strong advantage.
- Experience with product, retail, wholesale, e-commerce or inventory-based businesses would be advantageous.
- CA Inter, CMA Inter, ACCA or similar accounting qualification would be an advantage but is not mandatory.
KEY SKILLS

- Able to identify discrepancies rather than simply recording transactions.
- Comfortable coordinating with teams and external accountants across different countries.
- Strong in Excel and financial reconciliations.
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding company financial information.

The successful candidate will ensure that:
- Books for every Artitude Home entity are continuously up to date.
- Bank, customer, supplier and intercompany accounts are fully reconciled.
- Management has clear visibility of cash, receivables, payables and financial performance.
- GST, VAT, tax and statutory deadlines are never missed.
- Documentation is organised and audit-ready.
- Month-end accounts are completed accurately and on time.
- Financial information across the group can be consolidated and reviewed efficiently.
