Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Accounts professional to manage Gamefuel's day-to-day accounting and finance operations on a part-time basis. You will own payments, invoicing, basic payroll support, banking, and financial record-keeping for the studio.
This is an independent, high-trust role suited to an experienced accounting professional looking for a flexible, part-time engagement — primarily remote, with periodic visits to the office for banking, documentation, and coordination needs.
What will you do:
- Process vendor and contractor payments accurately and on schedule, including tracking due dates and approvals.
- Raise, track, and reconcile client invoices; follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Support basic payroll processing — salary/stipend calculations, deductions, and coordination with HR for monthly payouts.
- Manage banking files and transactions — online transfers, cheque handling, bank reconciliations, and liaising with the bank as needed.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts (Tally/Zoho Books or similar), including day-to-day bookkeeping and ledger entries.
- Maintain organized financial records — invoices, receipts, contracts, and statutory documents — for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
- Track petty cash and reimbursements, and maintain expense records.
- Assist with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings, and coordinate with the external CA/auditor as required.
- Support month-end closing activities and prepare basic MIS/reports (payables, receivables, cash flow snapshots) for leadership.
- Flag discrepancies, delays, or compliance risks proactively to leadership.
What are we looking for:
Prior experience managing end-to-end accounts for a small-to-mid-sized company or studio, ideally including payroll and banking exposure.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and finance operations.
- Proficiency with accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, or similar) and MS Excel/Google Sheets.
- Working knowledge of payroll processing basics, GST/TDS compliance, and banking procedures.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Trustworthy and discreet with confidential financial and payroll information.
- Self-driven and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to visit the office periodically for banking/documentation needs.
- Prior experience with a start-up, agency, or studio environment is a plus.
Why Join Gamefuel?
- Be part of a passionate and creative team that values collaboration and innovation.
- A dynamic and energetic start-up culture
- Opportunity to work on diverse game projects
- Flexible, independent engagement that fits around your schedule
- Flat organisation with zero bureaucracy
