Role Description The Academic Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Kozhikode. This role involves providing individualized counseling to students on academic pathways, study abroad options, and domestic course selections. The Academic Counselor will conduct orientation and guidance sessions, assess student interests and aptitudes, and recommend suitable programs and institutions. Daily responsibilities include meeting students and families, maintaining accurate counseling records, coordinating with internal departments, and supporting application and admission processes. The role also requires staying updated on educational trends, admission requirements, and scholarship opportunities to offer informed and timely advice.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills to guide learners across various programs and study destinations.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact clearly with students, families, and institutional partners.
- Candidates should possess solid Career Counseling and Education-related knowledge to align academic choices with long-term career goals.
- Relevant experience in educational consulting, admissions, or student support services is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Ability to work in a structured, student-focused environment, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and comfort with maintaining digital records and documentation.
