Role Description
This is a contract-based remote role for a Zscaler Engineer. The Zscaler Engineer will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Zscaler solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities will include implementing security policies, managing web filtering and application control, conducting system health checks, and ensuring seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure. The role also involves providing technical support and documentation for the implemented solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in deploying and configuring Zscaler solutions, including ZIA (Zscaler Internet Access) and ZPA (Zscaler Private Access).
- Experience in network security, including firewall configurations, web filtering, application control, and secure web gateway technologies.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting network and security issues to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
- Knowledge of VPN technologies, identity management tools, and authentication mechanisms such as SAML, LDAP, and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles and concepts related to SaaS and zero-trust networking.
- Strong communication and documentation skills for sharing technical insights and solutions with clients and teams.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while ensuring timely project delivery and adherence to best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Zscaler certifications (e.g., ZCCP-IA, ZCCP-PA) and prior experience in enterprise IT environments are advantageous.
