About the role

The Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager plays a critical role within the organization, overseeing the planning, coordination, and management of staff and operations to maintain the stability and performance of the organization's infrastructure. This role provides strategic and technical leadership in all aspects of network operations. The NOC Manager is responsible for ensuring the health and maintenance of multiple environments and may be required to deliver hands-on technical support. In addition to managing daily operations, this role handles Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalation support and serves as the primary point of contact in the NOC for inquiries from senior leadership and other department managers. What you'll do as the Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager: Lead and manage the NOC team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Ensure continuous monitoring of networks, systems, and applications to maintain optimal performance and uptime. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for incident response, escalation, and resolution. Respond to and manage Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical escalations, coordinating with internal teams and vendors as necessary. Act as the primary liaison between the NOC and senior leadership, providing regular updates and reporting on key metrics and incidents. Coordinate root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and implement preventive measures to reduce recurrence. Oversee shift coverage and on-call rotations to maintain 24x7 operational support. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Evaluate and implement monitoring tools, automation, and other technologies to improve efficiency and visibility. Maintain documentation for network operations, incident response, and technical procedures.
