We're Hiring | Zonal Sales Manager — North, West & South | Araya Health Private Limited
This is not a role for someone looking to coast. This is a role for someone hungry — hungry to build, hungry to win, and hungry to put their name on a brand's national story.
Araya Health Private Limited is the company behind Ortho XR, a fast-growing brand in the OTC Healthcare and FMCG space. We currently operate across East and North India, and we're now scaling our North business while launching from the ground up in the West and South.
We're looking for three sales leaders with fire in the belly to own these zones — one to deepen our North footprint, and two to plant the flag in West and South.
If you've launched brands from scratch, scaled them from 0 to 1 and then 1 to 100, and know how to win in General Trade — we want to talk to you.
About the Role As Zonal Sales Manager, you will own the P&L, primary and secondary sales, distribution expansion, and team performance for your assigned zone. You will be the face of Araya Health and Ortho XR in your region — partnering with distributors, chemists, and retail counters to drive brand visibility, volume, and value growth across General Trade.
For West and South, this is a true 0-to-1 mandate — building distribution, appointing partners, hiring the field team, and putting Ortho XR on the map.
For North, this is a 1-to-100 mandate — scaling an existing business, deepening reach, and accelerating market share against established competition.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver zonal revenue, market share, and profitability targets for Ortho XR and upcoming brands.
- Lead the on-ground launch and scale-up of brands in new GT markets — from market seeding to scaled distribution.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing field team (ASMs, SOs) to consistently outperform.
- Expand distribution depth and width — appoint, manage, and grow super-stockists, distributors, wholesalers, and chemist networks.
- Drive in-store execution, visibility programs, BTL activations, and trade marketing initiatives in partnership with the brand team.
- Strengthen retailer and chemist relationships — improve range selling, billing outlets, and productive call coverage.
- Forecast demand accurately, manage trade spends within budget, and ensure healthy ROI for channel partners.
- Track competition, consumer trends, and category shifts to inform on-ground strategy.
What We're Looking For
- 8–12 years of progressive General Trade sales experience in OTC Healthcare, FMCG, or Consumer Healthcare, with at least 3 years in a zonal or large-region leadership role.
- A hungry, founder's-mindset operator — someone who runs at problems, doesn't wait for instructions, and treats the zone like their own business.
- Proven brand-launching experience — you've taken new products to market and built GT distribution from scratch.
- A demonstrated 0-to-1 and 1-to-100 track record — you've scaled a brand or category from launch to meaningful market presence.
- Deep General Trade expertise — strong understanding of distributor management, chemist channels, wholesale, and rural/semi-urban GT dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to scale distribution, drive primary/secondary sales, and lead large field teams.
- Sharp commercial acumen — comfortable with P&L ownership, trade spend planning, and ROI conversations.
- Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned zone.

- North (scale mandate) — Base: Delhi NCR
- West (greenfield/launch mandate) — Base: Mumbai/Pune
- South (greenfield/launch mandate) — Base: Bengaluru
