Zonal Sales Manager – Cardiac Devices (West & North India)

About the Opportunity We are currently leading a retained search on behalf of a premier, high-growth Medical Device organization. They are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM) to take the helm of their Cardiac Devices division for both the West and North Indian markets.
Based out of the Mumbai HQ, this is a high-impact leadership role requiring a seasoned MedTech/ Cardiology professional who understands the nuances of the interventional cardiology and structural heart landscape. You will be responsible for driving top-line revenue, expanding market share, and leading a high-performing regional sales force.
Key Responsibilities:
- P&L & Revenue Generation: Assume full accountability for the sales target, profitability, and overall P&L for the Cardiac Devices portfolio across the West and North zones.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive regional sales strategies, forecasting models, and territory expansion plans to aggressively capture market share.
- Team Management: Mentor, lead, and scale a team of Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Area Sales Managers (ASMs). Drive a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous clinical learning.
- KOL Engagement: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with Tier-1 Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Interventional Cardiologists, Cath Lab Directors, and C-suite hospital administrators.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity, pricing strategies, and emerging clinical trends to position the company’s product lines advantageously.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless product rollouts, targeted campaigns, and inventory management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: 12 to 18+ years of progressive sales experience in the Healthcare /MedTech (cardiac devices/ medical devices) industry, with a mandatory minimum of 5+ years in a leadership role managing the Cardiology/ Cardiac Devices/Implants segment (Stents, Pacemakers, CRTs, Structural Heart, etc.).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Pharmacy, or Engineering. An MBA from a reputed institution is highly preferred.
- Geographic Expertise: Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, hospital networks, and distributor channels in both West and North India.
- Skills: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills. Proven ability to close complex enterprise-level contracts with large hospital chains.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively across the designated zones to support field teams and engage with key clients.
