We are looking for a seasoned Zonal / Regional Head - Mutual Fund Distribution to lead and scale our B2B MF business in the assigned region. This role will own AUM growth, net sales, SIP book expansion, and distributor productivity, while building strong relationships with IFAs, MFDs, corporate distributors, and institutional partners. The position carries end-to-end regional P& L ownership and leadership responsibility for a multi-city distribution team.
The Candidate Will Have Responsibilities Across The Following Functions
AUM Growth and Sales Strategy:
- Own and drive regional Mutual Fund AUM, net sales, and SIP book growth.
- Execute AMC-style sales strategies across IFAs / MFDs, Corporate and institutional distributors, Large HNI & promoter-led relationships.
- Drive product penetration across different categories.
- Ensure strong activation of NFOs, campaigns, and SIP initiatives.
Distributor And Channel Management
- Build, expand, and manage a high-quality IFA/MFD and corporate distributor network.
- Conduct regular distributor meets, product sessions, and regional partner events.
- Act as the primary escalation point for key partners in the region.
Regional Pand L Ownership
- Own regional targets, including AUM Growth and SIP Book Expansion.
- Ensure efficient cost management and RM productivity.
- Track and improve sales conversion ratios and partner performance metrics.
Team Leadership
- Drive performance through structured distributor coverage planning.
- Build a strong pipeline of future sales leaders.
Compliance, Governance And Market Intelligence
- Ensure adherence to SEBI, AMFI, and internal compliance guidelines.
- Maintain high standards of documentation, suitability, and audit readiness.
- Track regional market trends, competitor activity, and distributor behaviour.
- Provide insights to leadership on product gaps, campaign effectiveness, and market opportunities.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience in Mutual Fund distribution / AMC sales / B2B.
- Minimum 3+ years in a leadership role (Cluster / Regional / Area Head).
- Strong exposure to AMC-style distributor-led sales models.
- Proven track record of AUM growth, net sales delivery, and team leadership.
Product And Regulatory Knowledge
- Deep understanding of Mutual Funds, SIP and long-term portfolio construction.
- NISM Series V-A is mandatory.
- CFP / CFA preferred.
