Role Description
The Zonal Head will lead the Bengaluru branch operations to drive business growth across Spine and Trauma divisions in Karnataka, with a strong primary focus on Spine business expansion and leadership. The role emphasizes operational excellence, strategic market development, and strengthening surgeon engagement in the Spine segment, while supporting Trauma operations as a secondary portfolio.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field is required. An MBA (Sales, Marketing, or Healthcare Management) is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 12–15 years of experience n the medical devices industry, specifically in Spine and Trauma implants, with at least 5+ years in a leadership or branch management role. Proven track record in Spine segment business development is essential; experience in Trauma products is an added advantage.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive market expansion, manage key accounts, and deliver revenue growth.
- Strong network with surgeons, hospitals, and key decision-makers.
- Experience in branch operations, including inventory, logistics, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive overall branch revenue, profitability (P&L), and growth targets for the Spine and/or Orthopedic Trauma Implant portfolio.
- Lead and manage the branch team, ensuring strong performance, capability development, and alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and execute regional business plans and sales strategies to expand market share and achieve sustainable growth.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), surgeons, hospital management, procurement teams, and channel partners.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including key accounts and institutional tie-ups.
- Oversee distributor/channel partner management, ensuring effective coverage, performance, and inventory control.
- Ensure seamless branch operations, including inventory management, logistics coordination, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Drive effective execution of product launches, clinical support, and training initiatives for healthcare professionals.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Support to ensure smooth business operations.
- Ensure accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting to senior leadership.
- Foster a high-performance, customer-centric culture within the branch.
