What you will be responsible for
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring accuracy under HGB and IFRS
Manage and control accounts payable and accounts receivable with a proactive, detail-oriented approach
Perform bank reconciliations and support cash flow planning
Ensure compliance with German tax regulations (VAT, corporate income tax, payroll)
Prepare for audits and liaise with tax authorities and external auditors
Streamline accounting processes using DATEV and ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus)
Your qualifications
5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a startup or SaaS environment.
Proficiency in HGB, IFRS, and DATEV (mandatory).
Fluency in German and strong English communication skills.
Proven experience in monthly closings, AP/AR, and process improvement.
Highly organized, detail-driven, and hands-on.
