Experience: 1–2 years
The Role:
The Hands-On Zoho Builder
We are looking for a hands-on Zoho Developer who can build, customize, automate, and maintain critical business workflows across our Zoho ecosystem.
This is not a role limited to basic CRM administration or configuration. You will work closely with our business and technical teams to understand requirements, write Deluge scripts, build workflows, develop integrations, and continuously improve how our systems communicate with each other.
You will play an important role in building and maintaining the Zoho layer of our technology stack, ensuring that our CRM and internal systems are reliable, automated, secure, and scalable.
The 6-Month Trajectory:
● Months 1–2 (Understand & Build):
Your initial focus will be understanding our existing Zoho setup, business processes, CRM architecture, and integrations. You will get hands-on with Zoho CRM, Deluge, workflows, APIs, and existing automations, while working closely with the team to understand our data flow.
● Months 3–6+ (Own & Improve):
You will begin taking ownership of Zoho development and automation requirements. You will build new workflows, improve existing processes, troubleshoot integrations, and work with different teams to identify opportunities for automation.
You will be expected to independently handle development tasks while collaborating closely with the Product, Operations, Engineering, and other internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
● Build & Customize the Zoho Ecosystem
Develop and customize solutions across Zoho CRM and related Zoho applications based on business requirements.
● Deluge Development
Write clean and maintainable Deluge scripts for custom functions, business logic, automation, data processing, and CRM workflows.
● CRM Automation
Build and maintain workflows, validation rules, custom functions, scheduled functions, approvals, notifications, and other CRM automations.
● Integrations & APIs
Build and maintain integrations between Zoho CRM and third-party/internal systems using REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and other integration methods.
● Own Data Flow
Ensure that data moves accurately and reliably between Zoho and other systems. Identify and troubleshoot issues related to data synchronization, API failures, duplicate records, and automation errors.
● Build Scalable Workflows
Work with the team to convert manual operational processes into reliable and automated Zoho workflows, reducing repetitive work and improving efficiency.
● Troubleshooting & Maintenance
Monitor existing automations and integrations, investigate issues, debug Deluge scripts, and implement fixes with minimal disruption to business operations.
● Data Security
Work with the engineering and operations teams to ensure that sensitive customer and patient-related information is handled securely through appropriate access controls, data permissions, API practices, and data protection mechanisms.
● Documentation
Maintain clear documentation for CRM customizations, workflows, Deluge functions, integrations, APIs, and business processes.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Operations, Product, Engineering, Sales, and other teams to understand their requirements and translate them into practical Zoho solutions.
Requirements:
● 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Zoho development, preferably with strong experience in Zoho CRM.
● Strong practical experience with Deluge scripting, including custom functions and automation.
● Experience configuring and customizing Zoho CRM modules, fields, layouts, workflows, validation rules, reports, and dashboards.
● Hands-on experience working with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and third-party integrations.
● Experience integrating Zoho CRM with other applications or internal systems.
● Good understanding of CRM data structures, data synchronization, and automation workflows.
● Ability to troubleshoot and debug Deluge scripts, workflows, API integrations, and automation failures.
● Understanding of authentication mechanisms such as API keys, OAuth, tokens, etc., will be an advantage.
● Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript will be a plus.
● Experience with other Zoho products such as Zoho Creator, Zoho Flow, Zoho Analytics, Zoho Desk, or Zoho Books will be a strong plus.
● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
● Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into simple, reliable, and scalable technical solutions.
● Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment, where requirements can evolve quickly and ownership is expected.
What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for someone who is:
Hands-on: You should be comfortable writing Deluge code and building solutions yourself rather than only coordinating with others.
Problem-solving oriented: When an automation or integration breaks, you should be able to investigate the issue, identify the root cause, and implement a solution.
Business-minded: You should understand why a workflow is being built, not just how to configure it.
Detail-oriented: Small CRM or data-flow errors can have a significant impact, so accuracy matters.
Curious & willing to learn: Our systems and requirements will evolve as the company scales, and you should be excited to learn and experiment with new Zoho capabilities.
- Low ego & collaborative: You will work with multiple teams and should be comfortable asking questions, understanding existing processes, and improving them thoughtfully.
