Facility Operations & Stewardship
• Maintain the cleanliness, presentation, and readiness of all interior and exterior church spaces
• Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify facility needs and communicate concerns
• Help ensure all spaces meet Zion’s standards for cleanliness and excellence
Janitorial & Cleaning
• Perform routine cleaning of offices, classrooms, lobbies, restrooms, auditorium, and common areas
• Dust, vacuum, mop, sanitize, and maintain all church spaces throughout the week
• Restock janitorial and facility supplies as needed
• Manage trash removal and waste/recycling systems
• Ensure restrooms remain stocked, clean, and presentable at all times
Sunday Experience Support
• Prepare campus and ministry environments for all Sunday gatherings
• Set up chairs, tables, signage, ministry spaces, and hospitality environments as directed
• Monitor and maintain facilities throughout Sunday gatherings
• Respond to spills, cleanup needs, resets, and facility issues during services
• Reset and secure all spaces following Sunday gatherings
Ministry & Event Room Setup Support
• Set up and reset classrooms, meeting rooms, and ministry environments throughout the week based on ministry and event needs
• Coordinate room layouts and furniture arrangements according to ministry requests and event requirements
• Ensure spaces are fully prepared, stocked, and ministry-ready prior to scheduled use
• Reset rooms to standard layouts following events and gatherings
Basic Maintenance & Repairs
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance in-house when able
• Handle simple repairs including furniture, fixtures, lighting, batteries, door hardware, paint touch-up, etc.
• Identify larger maintenance concerns and communicate recommendations to leadership
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and inspections as assigned
Building Systems Support
• Assist in managing Brivo access control system, including issuing credentials and maintaining access schedules
• Support HVAC scheduling and building lighting schedule adjustments as directed
• Help monitor building systems and report issues needing escalation
Vendor Coordination Support
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating external vendors and contractors
• Be present during vendor visits when needed
• Help track completion of repairs and maintenance work
• Communicate vendor-related updates to leadership
Projects & Facility Improvements
• Provide hands-on support for facility improvement projects, remodels, and renovations
• Assist leadership with logistics, setup, coordination, and execution of facility projects
Building Security
• Open and close campus as scheduled
• Ensure doors are locked, lights off, and facility secured when appropriate
• Help maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, volunteers, and guests
Qualifications
• Reliable, punctual, and highly organized
• Self-starter with strong work ethic
• High attention to detail and pride in maintaining excellent environments
• Basic handyman/maintenance skillset preferred
• Comfortable with cleaning, physical labor, and hands-on facility work
• Able to lift and move 50+ lbs regularly
• Comfortable working independently and behind the scenes
• Strong communication and follow-through
• Alignment with Zion Church’s vision and culture

Compensation:
$50,000–$55,000 Based on Experience
Schedule:
Sunday through Thursday with weekend and evening flexibility as needed
