As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be a key technical leader and role model within the organization. We are looking for a technical lead who designs and develops technology to serve business and technology objectives, aligns points of view across teams and makes trade offs to help achieve the goals of individual teams as well as Zinnia’s broader goals. You will foster Zinnia’s culture and values around ‘be bold’, ‘team up; & ‘deliver value’. You will work closely with technical leadership and management within and outside our organization to contribute to building best-in-class core systems infrastructure for Zinnia. WHAT YOU’LL DO: • Work as part of a global, cross-functional team to develop innovative software for Zinnia stakeholders. • Contribute to projects by creating well-designed, customized, testable, efficient code for company platforms. • Assist our teams in providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, improvements, or custom enhancements to existing company platforms. • Occasionally participate in on-call rotations and/or provide after-hours support. • Collaborate with our global teams, internal stakeholders and customers. • Act as a subject matter expert for junior team members. • Assist or lead in defining the requirements for custom built software projects. WHAT YOU’LL NEED: • Minimum 8+ years of software development. • Expert in writing performant code in Java, spring, Micro services. • Eager to learn new technologies and able to debug code on the fly. • Aware of Java performance monitoring skills. • Demonstrated expertise with software engineering tools (Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA etc) and methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, etc). • Excellent work ethic. Ability to work and travel independently. • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills. • Highly effective communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. Excellent troubleshooting skills. • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional, global team. • Awareness of advanced technical concepts (examples: design patterns, SOA, SaaS, SDLC, DDD). • Expertise in writing proficient highly performant code. • Must have AWS working experience. • Object Oriented Programming (OOPS) and design patterns • Programming using Java 18 and above. • Competence and comfort using multiple frameworks Spring, Spring Boot • SOA/Microservice Architecture • Knowledge and experience with REST • Git, Maven, Docker
