The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a customer-centric mindset. What you will do: Operational Oversight: Manage and ensure seamless daily operations of the Chennai hub, including bus arrivals, departures, scheduling, and on-ground coordination.Team Management: Lead and manage the hub team, ensuring high performance and adherence to operational standards.Customer Experience: Deliver a superior customer experience by ensuring timely bus operations, cleanliness, safety, and service punctuality.Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors, bus operators, and third-party service providers to ensure operational efficiency, bus maintenance, and resource availability.Compliance & Safety: Ensure all buses and personnel comply with Zingbus’s safety protocols, legal regulations, and operational standards. Conduct safety inspections and operational audits.Inventory & Asset Management: Oversee the maintenance of operational assets at the hub, including GPS tracking systems and other equipment, ensuring all resources are in optimal condition.Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports on key operational metrics such as punctuality, bus conditions, staff productivity, and customer feedback.Issue Resolution: Promptly resolve operational challenges and escalate critical issues to senior management as necessary.Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement strategies to optimize operations, enhance efficiency, and improve service levels and cost-effectiveness. What we are looking for:Proven experience in operations management, logistics, or transportation, preferably in a high-volume environment.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.Strong understanding of operational metrics and process improvement methodologies.Effective communication skills in both English and Tamil.Tech-savvy, with experience in using operational tools and systems (e.g., GPS tracking).A customer-focused mindset with a dedication to delivering high-quality service. Preferred Experience: Previous experience in the transportation, logistics, or travel/hospitality sectors.Knowledge of intercity bus operations is a strong advantage.
