What You Can Expect

Under the close supervision of Engineering staff, this role will assist the Engineering team on design and development projects.  The Engineering Intern will perform routine tasks as well as receive exposure and direction to grow their technical Engineering skills.  This will be an onsite position at our Englewood, Colorado location.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Observes and may participate in product development from ideation to commercialization through entire product life cycle with guidance from engineering staff including:
    • Competitive product for performance characteristics
    • Conceptualizing new design ideas 
    • Solidworks for parametric modeling and detailing designs of P28 implants and instruments
    • Create design control documentation for P28 design history files
    • Development of testing protocols and testing process for new and existing products
  • Observe surgery (live, cadaver, or video) on lower extremity pathology. Document all notes.
  • Other duties as directed by manager

Your Background

  • Generally limited to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related engineering discipline with an interest/background in medical device
  • Prior experience in medical device development helpful but not required
  • Familiarity with CAD. SolidWorks preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Effective communication skills

Compensation Data

Hourly Rate:  $25.00 USD
