About the role

Job Title: Product Owner


Job Summary
The Product Owner (PO) is responsible for defining, prioritising, and managing the product
backlog to ensure the successful delivery of features and improvements. The PO works
closely with stakeholders, including customers, development teams, and business leaders,
to ensure that the product delivers maximum value.


Key Responsibilities
1. Backlog Management:
○ Define and manage the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with the product
vision and business goals.
○ Prioritise backlog items based on business value, stakeholder input, and
development team capacity.
○ Ensure that the backlog is visible, transparent, and understood by all
stakeholders.
2. Stakeholder Collaboration:
○ Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders and the
development team.
○ Gather and analyse feedback from customers, stakeholders, and market
trends.
○ Communicate product vision, goals, and progress to stakeholders.
3. Requirement Definition:
○ Write clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and other
requirement documents.
○ Collaborate with the development team to ensure a shared understanding of
requirements.
○ Validate that the delivered features meet business needs and acceptance
criteria.

4. Sprint Planning and Review:
○ Participate in sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings.
○ Ensure that the development team understands the priorities and goals for
each sprint.
○ Accept or reject completed user stories based on acceptance criteria.
○ Should be able to drive daily standup meeting
5. Product Strategy and Vision:
○ Contribute to the development of the product strategy and vision.
○ Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging
technologies.
○ Identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
6. Performance Monitoring:
○ Track and report on product performance metrics and user feedback.
○ Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven
decisions.

○ Continuously evaluate and refine the product to ensure it meets user needs
and business goals.
7. Expertise in story writing
○ Writing down the EPICS into smaller stories to fulfil the sprint
○ Writing down stories in correct Agile Format
○ Accepting the stories after definition of done
8. Knowledge of capacity planning and load management of team
○ Should be able to define the capacity of team as per upcoming iterations
○ Managing the load, risks and dependencies
9. Should be able to drive Art Sync
○ Should have knowledge of release (continuous integration and continuous
delivery)


Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
● Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management.
● Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum.
● Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
● Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
● Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
● Proficiency with product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana).
● Certification in Product Ownership (e.g., CSPO, PSPO) is a plus.


Preferred Skills
● Experience with user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design.
● Familiarity with software development processes and technologies.
● Knowledge of the specific industry or domain relevant to the product.
