Job Summary
Plans, organizes, directs, controls, and provides the leadership to achieve the short-range and long-range business development objectives within the site. The Plant Manager is responsible for the manufacturing of Zeus products in the required quantity and quality and to perform this function safely at a minimum cost. Recommends and drives improvements in results through the framework of Continuous Improvement using the Principles of the Zeus Operating System. The site Plant Manager manages a staff of managers and supervisors of various departments to ensure timely distribution of merchandise within the standards of budget, policies, procedures, and quality to satisfy requirements.
Responsibilities
• Approves production schedules in the various departments to insure that customer orders are met and finished goods inventories and shipments are maintained at the proper level. Controls flows of materials and utilization of labor to ensure adequate production requirements of the plant.
• Reviews inventories of material stored to insure their accuracy and to see that the Purchasing Department is aware of inventory status of each item.
• Directs and approves all requisitions for maintenance and repair of building equipment and for machine parts and manufacturing supplies. Recommends and/or makes improvements in machinery and equipment and in manufacturing methods.
• Controls allocation and use of personnel to ensure fulfillment of production schedules in all departments at the lowest possible cost.
• Directs operation of all departments and guides managers and supervisors in the performance of their duties.
• Participates in the implementation of new manufacturing processes, product and systems technology to meet the division's objectives.
• Has Ownership for Continuous Improvement and the implementation of the Zeus Operating System to drive results improvement and Create Value for the Customer
Qualifications
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum job content knowledge: Facility operation, planning, and budgeting in a high-speed production environment. Knowledge of manufacturing methods and some indirect engineering experience.
• Minimum experience: Four (4) years management
