Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to ensure seamless data flow and enable data-driven decision-making. This position requires a strong understanding of data engineering best practices, cloud-based data architectures, and a passion for building robust and efficient data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines.
- Build and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ingest, transform, and store structured and unstructured data.
- Develop and maintain data models and schemas to support analytics and reporting.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand business requirements and implement data solutions.
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure data pipeline reliability and performance.
- Work with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to manage large-scale data storage and processing.
- Automate data workflows and improve data engineering processes for efficiency and scalability.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Expertise in Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and automation.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data services (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse, etc.).
- Knowledge of ETL frameworks, data integration tools, and workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, etc.).
- Understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD for data pipelines.
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows and MLOps.
- Background in financial, healthcare, or e-commerce data ecosystems.
