Senior Software Engineer (Java)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on a project in the fintech industry. The project: Our teammates are talented people that come from a variety of backgrounds. You will be part of a distributed team developing innovative financial process automation solutions that increase productivity, reduce costs, and ensure organizations meet compliance oblig. What you will do: - Implementing technical solutions in collaboration with the Product function. - Work within a defined delivery process to deliver high-quality code for complex projects. - Be a proactive stakeholder in quality of code and overall product quality whilst adhering to development standards and the development lifecycle. - Embrace emerging technologies and keep abreast of new frameworks, tools and programming languages. - Add value in all stages of project/support work from definition, development and deployment. What you will bring: - A minimum of 5 years' experience in multi-tier application and database development. - Extensive experience in back-end development using the Java ecosystem. - Experience and knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure (Microsoft Azure, preferably). - Responsible for designing, developing and deploying cloud native software applications, which includes Continuous Delivery/Deployment pipelines and all aspects involved. - Experience in containers and container orchestration with Kubernetes. - Knowledge of standard architectural design patterns, TDD and Test Automation. - Good experience with SQL & No-SQL databases. - Knowledge and experience in Lean, Agile and Scrum methodologies. - Experience in test frameworks (e.g. Pytest, Cypress, etc) for e2e and Functional testing. Nice to have: - Bonus points if you have experience using Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript. - Any experience in other cloud providers, such as GCP, will be welcomed. - Knowledge of IaC (Terraform, Ansible). - Knowledge of financial services.
