Principal Product Designer (All Genders)

As a Principal Product Designer at Zalando, you will be a key player in shaping the product design vision and leading the design efforts for our Creator Ecosystem. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences that empower our creators and drive business impact. What you'll do: - Lead the design of innovative product experiences for our Creator Ecosystem, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders - Shape the design vision and strategy for your product area, ensuring alignment with overall business goals - Mentor and coach more junior designers, providing guidance and feedback to help them grow - Advocate for user-centered design principles and champion the voice of the user within the organization - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and continuously explore new design approaches and technologies - Contribute to the development and evolution of Zalando's design system and design processes What you'll bring: - Extensive experience (8+ years) in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to tackle complex design challenges - Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, with a proven track record of delivering impactful user experiences - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and advocate for your design solutions - Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make data-driven design decisions - Experience in leading and mentoring design teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth - Passion for the Creator Economy and a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges of creators - Fluency in English; knowledge of German is a plus
