Principal Machine Learning Engineer - ML Platform

As a Principal Machine Learning Engineer - ML Platform, you will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling the ML Platform that powers the data science and machine learning use cases at Zalando. You will work closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and platform teams to deliver robust, scalable, and user-friendly ML solutions that empower our teams to build innovative products and services.Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement highly scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant ML infrastructure and pipelines- Develop and maintain reusable ML components, libraries, and tools to accelerate the development of ML models and applications- Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand their requirements and provide technical solutions- Optimize ML workflows, streamline deployment processes, and ensure reliable model serving- Contribute to the evolution of our ML platform by identifying and implementing new technologies and best practices- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
