We have highly trained teams led by BCBA-Ds (Doctoral level Behavior Analysts) with more experience and expertise combined than almost any Behavior Analyst - including those at the doctoral level, in the world. We offer comprehensive early intensive behavioral intervention (ABA) for young children ages 2-5 and also focused some ABA services for older school-aged children.<br><br> </div><div> <strong>Behavior Technician Role: </strong>The Behavior Technician works 1:1 in our clinic in Hamden or in daycares across the area or in homes delivering ABA programming for children with autism. Must have experience with learners aged: 2-5 years old<br><br> </div><div> <strong>Behavior Technician Responsibilities:<br></strong><br> </div><ul> <li>Structure therapy sessions and follow the treatment plan development by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).</li> <li>Use a variety of applied behavioral procedures to teach communication, social skills, flexibility, daily living, and play skills.</li> <li>Tailor interactions to fit the tone, volume, and appropriate language for the learner’s age and environment</li> <li>Implement behavior plans to reduce and eliminate targeted problem behaviors.</li> <li>Provide assistance to the family to ensure a high-quality learning and living environment for the learner.</li> <li>Collect data for all programming using automated data collection tools</li> </ul><div> <strong>Behavior Technician Job Requirements:<br></strong><br> </div><ul> <li> <strong>Must Have </strong>1 yr of experience providing ABA to children with autism</li> <li> <strong>Must</strong> be able to arrive on time and avoid cancellations</li> <li>Must be able to move and engage clients throughout long 6-8 hours sessions.</li> <li>Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and maintain high level of alertness throughout 6-8 hour sessions and understand how to lift safely and keep clients safe.</li> <li> <strong>MUST HAVE </strong>Experience using Applied Behavior Analysis procedures that include:</li> <li>Discrete trials</li> <li>Response Interruption and Redirection</li> <li>Differential Reinforcement</li> <li>Shaping</li> <li>Pairing existing reinforcers with neutral items/activities to continually create new reinforcers</li> <li>Conducting preference assessments</li> <li>Naturalistic teaching procedures</li> <li>Pivotal Response Training</li> <li>Incidental Teaching Procedures</li> <li>Teaching Interaction Procedure (for complex social skills).</li> </ul><div> <strong>Behavior Technician Benefits<br></strong><br> </div><ul> <li>PTO and Sick Time</li> <li>Pay for Performance based raises</li> <li>401K available</li> <li>Bonuses for those working previous month for 30+ hours per week for the entire month</li> </ul><div>Pay: $20-25 per hour depending upon skill and experience, plus PTO and Sick Leave for all employees.<br><br> </div><div> <strong>ZABA Therapy provided the following inclusive hiring information:<br></strong><br> </div><div>We are an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.</div> </div>
