I’m a new YouTuber launching a content channel, and I’m looking for a highly creative YouTube video editor who is not just an editor, but also someone who understands YouTube growth and storytelling through editing.
I don’t want someone who needs constant instructions like where to place transitions, graphics, zooms, memes, or references. I’m looking for a self-driven editor who can take ownership of the editing process and consistently deliver videos that feel engaging, dynamic, and high quality.
Every video you edit should make viewers want to keep watching.
If you are someone who studies viral YouTube edits, pacing, hooks, retention techniques, and storytelling, then this role will be perfect for you.

Your Responsibilities
• Edit YouTube Shorts and Long-form videos
• Add engaging transitions, zooms, graphics, subtitles, memes, and motion effects
• Improve viewer retention through smart editing
• Source relevant b-roll, graphics, and visual elements when needed
• Follow YouTube pacing that keeps viewers engaged
• Deliver videos on time with high quality

Tools I Prefer
Please be comfortable with at least one of these:
• CapCut (Pro level editing)
• Adobe Premiere Pro
• Adobe After Effects
High-quality motion graphics and effects are a big plus.

Budget
Since this is a new YouTube channel, the budget is currently limited, but this can grow as the channel grows.
• YouTube Shorts: $4 – $5 per video
• Long-form Videos: $15 – $17 per video
If we work well together, this can become long-term consistent work.

Shortlisted candidates will be given one YouTube Short to edit as a paid test.
• Payment: $5
• Deadline: 10–11 hours after receiving the footage
