We are seeking a YouTube Channel Optimization Specialist to lead the growth and search visibility of our YouTube presence. You will be responsible for the end-to-end "packaging" of our content ensuring every video is technically optimized for search and designed to trigger the YouTube recommendation engine.
Responsibilities:
- Video SEO & Metadata: Perform deep keyword research to optimize video titles, descriptions and tags. Ensure correct implementation of chapters, end screens, cards and pinned comments.
- A/B Testing & Packaging: Lead thumbnail and title A/B testing frameworks to improve Click-Through Rate (CTR). Create repeatable "packaging" playbooks based on performance data.
- Retention Analysis: Analyze audience retention curves to identify drop-off points. Provide actionable feedback to the production team on improving hooks, pacing and video structure.
- Channel Hygiene: Manage the daily operations of the channel, including upload schedules, playlist organization and community tab engagement.
- Competitor & Trend Monitoring: Conduct regular audits of competitor channels to identify whitespace opportunities and pivot strategies based on platform algorithm shifts.
- Performance Reporting: Track and report on KPIs such as Average View Duration (AVD), Impressions CTR and Subscriber Conversion Rate.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience Required:
- 6 months to 1 year of proven experience managing and growing YouTube channels (media or publisher experience preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in YouTube Studio and YouTube Analytics.
- Hands-on experience with optimization tools like vidIQ or TubeBuddy.
- Ability to translate complex data into creative strategies (e.g. identifying "viral-ready" segments from long-form content).
- Strong stakeholder management to collaborate across editorial, video production and social teams.
Salary: Rs. 20,000/- to Rs. 28,000/-
Work Timings: 9:00am to 6:00pm
Full Time (work from office), Bangalore.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
