About the role

Are you an experienced Farm Adviser with a passion for conservation and sustainable land management? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to join the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority as a Farming in Protected Landscapes Officer. The role will involve working with farmers and land managers to deliver the Farming in Protected Landscapes programme, which aims to support the delivery of environmental and public benefits from the land. You will provide advice, guidance and support to farmers and land managers to help them access and maximise the benefits of the programme. This will include assisting with the development and delivery of projects that address priorities around climate, nature, people and place. You will need to have a good understanding of upland farming and land management, as well as experience of working with farmers and land managers. You should also be able to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders. This is a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2027, with the possibility of extension.
