Position: Yoga Therapist
We are looking for a passionate and empathetic Yoga Therapist to join our growing clinical team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of cancer patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and understand individual medical history and treatment status.
- Design and deliver personalised yoga therapy sessions for patients undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment.
- Adapt practices based on treatment side effects such as fatigue, pain, neuropathy, lymphedema, reduced mobility, balance issues, and post-surgical limitations.
- Guide patients in breathwork, relaxation, mindfulness, and restorative yoga practices.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient progress notes.
- Educate and empower patients and caregivers to safely continue practices at home.
- Deliver sessions virtually and/or in person, depending on program requirements.
Requirements
- Strong qualifications in Yoga Therapy .
- Experience working with patients requiring therapeutic or rehabilitative yoga.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and movement modifications.
- Excellent communication skills with empathy and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in oncology rehabilitation or chronic disease management is a plus.
- Familiarity with evidence-based yoga therapy approaches.
- Knowledge of restorative yoga, pranayama, meditation, and relaxation techniques.
- Iyengar Yoga background is an added advantage.
